There are many benefits of becoming an affiliate marketer. One the benefit is that you have the freedom to choose to work with any affiliate networks of your choice. My personal favorite is Amazon.com.
One reason I can't seem to quit Amazon is that they provide a lot of support to you more than any other network. You will be provided with an arsenal of affiliate tools to work with. They have text links, single products, carousel widgets, featured product widgets, dedicated pages for you to utilized in your promotions. You can choose to show one product or you can choose to feature hundreds. The choice is really up to you.
However there is only one small problem I always have with Amazon.Their scripts don't always work well with WordPress and that means you will have to be extra careful when you insert the code on your website or blog.
Most of the time it saves, but sometimes it does not. This is can be frustrating when dealing with the product image links that use iframes. Still, I have found that if I insert them and save, they will stay until I try to edit the post again.
OK now I will share a few of my proven strategies with Amazon with you. There are as many strategies to use as with amazon.com as there are products to promote. Here are some of the strategies that I have always used successfully.
Add a widget on the sidebar and place a selection of books that tally your blog or website content in there. Your readers will be motivated by your contents and want to learn more. Books are the best choice.
If your website or blog is related about an author or a topic, put a few links in your post that link back to Amazon. I always link to my favorite authors and products. This works out well for both my readers and myself because this method not only gives me commissions, but also shares my favorite items with my readers.
Write product reviews from Amazon and include your affiliate link in the reviews. It is also advisable for you to even create a specific review section on your website or blog for such articles.
To give a professional look to your website or blog, you can add a carousel widget. These widgets are good looking and tend to get a lot of clicks from your visitors. You can also write a list of 10-20 products in your niche that your readers could benefit from and create a carousel widget mentioned above.
There are many other strategies that have worked well for me but it is too much for me to write everything here.However the methods I shared above would be sufficient to get any new or seasoned affiliate marketer to start their business and to earn nice commissions from Amazon or any other affiliate programs for that matter. The key word is to be consistent in your marketing and don't give up too early.
