It's all about finding products online that have affiliate programs, promoting them and getting a commission when online shoppers buys from you.
It's very straightforward and simple to understand, but it's not that easy.
Promoting a product online requires a plan and a strategy, there's no free lunch.
Here are the most common ways to do promote a product online:
Article Marketing: Write articles about the product you want to market.
  • Pros: Free, Build Your Credibility
  • Cons: Time Consuming, Competitive, Requires Writing Skills
Web Site or Blogs: Create a Site or a Blog and put links to your products
  • Pros: Low Cost or Free, Flexibility & Control Over Your Content (More Money)
  • Cons: Time Consuming, Very Competitive, Require Technical/SEO Skills
Social Media Marketing: Share links to the product you want to market on social media sites
  • Pros: Free and Very Easy, Nothing To Set Up, Huge Audience
  • Cons: Very Competitive, Require Social Skills, Can Be Labeled As Spam
Why Facebook?
In this article, we focus on the Social Media approach, and on Facebook in particular.
Facebook is a place for friends.
As the saying goes, all things being equal, people prefer to do business with their friends.
And all things being not so equal, people still prefer to do business with their friends.
People will likely purchase something from people they like and trust. If things are done right, and in the spirit of trust and mutual benefits, Facebook is a very fertile ground for good business.
It's also the biggest social network in the world with next to 700 million users. That's a lot of people.
Decide who you are going to be
Before we get started, you have to decide who you are going to be:
  • A savvy user who wants to earn an extra cash effortlessly but occasionally.
  • An internet marketer who wants to make big bucks promoting a niche product to online shoppers.
As a savvy user, your goal will be to share with your friends and encourage them to start making money together using the Amazon Affiliate program.
As an internet marketer, your goal will be to promote Amazon products on a Facebook page for a niche topic and build an audience of fans who will trust you and buy from your recommendations.
Step-by-step instructions for the savvy user
1. Get an Amazon Affiliate ID
Go to Amazon Associate site and sign up. It's free, it's safe and it's very simple. The only caveat is that U.S. residents from certain states do not qualify for the program, due to differences in state tax legislation. Read carefully Amazon's operating agreement and make sure that you, or a legal representative, can qualify.
2. Find out more about what your friends need and like
This is where Facebook starts to come into play. Facebook has a wealth of information about what your friends like. You can check their profile and find out what are their interests. It can be a certain artist, it can be an activity, or a hobby. Also look what's popular, see if friends of friends like the same thing. You can also directly ask your friends what they need or be aware and take notes when they post about something they want.
3. Find Products to Share
Find items on Amazon that matches what your friends need or like. Find a way to create a link to the product with your affiliate ID, and share that link on your wall or on your friends wall.
DO NOT SPAM. Ever. When you share product links, make sure they are based on what you or your friends like. also make sure not to post too many links on your friends wall. If you want to promote several products, do so on your own wall. You don't want to lose time and lose your friends.
If your suggestion is good, your friends will like it, and Facebook viral mechanism can make your suggestion become very popular. Friends in common and friends of friends can see it and may also want to purchase it. And when someone buys from your link, you get paid.
4. Reciprocate
This is the secret sauce.
Make sure to be upfront and tell your friends what you're up to.
Share your own interests, needs and likes. Reciprocate when your friends share links on your pages.
Make sure they understand that when you need something, you can purchase from theirs links, and they will get paid.
When they need something, they can get it from your links and you will get paid.
Everybody wins.
Step by step instruction for the internet marketer
The steps above are fairly simple, and should be an easy way to start making money between friends by purchasing things you need from each other.
But, If you're going to be an internet marketer and promote products to online shoppers, it's a different story.
The first step for getting an affiliate ID is still the same.
Here are the next ones.
2. Choose a niche and be distinctive.
Select very specific topics such as left-handed guitarists, handbags from a certain brand, luxury beauty products, HD cameras, books about arts and crafts, etc.
Check Amazon best sellers for a list of hot products to promote in your niche.
Use Google AdWords keyword tool to see what is the demand for a specific product/keyword and what is the competition (the less the competition, the better the niche).
3. Choose products you like
You're going to be doing product reviews and recommendations, so pick a topic that you enjoy and know something about.
If you can't stay passionate about the topic, that will show, and it also won't hold your interest.
4. Create a Facebook page
Use a very simple title related to your topic. You want people to find your page when they search on Facebook. There are several guides and tips on how to successfully promote a Facebook Fan page. Make sure to read these. Here are a couple ones:
  • Use proven internet marketing techniques (newsletters, subscriber/mailing list, SEO, YouTube, etc.) to promote your page.
  • Start by Inviting your Facebook friends who fit your target market profile. Use the "Suggest to friends" link on your page to send them an invitation.
  • Add a Facebook Like Box Widget on your Website / Blog if you have one.
  • Look for an application named Facebook Fan Page Twitter App. It's a great way to attract your Twitter following back to your fan page.
5. Share on your page
Share products with your affiliate links on your page but make sure you balance offers you post with other less commercial, engaging, fun and useful content to keep your fans happy.
It's very important to build trust and relationships. Again, people will likely purchase from a source they like and trust. That's what all this is about.
Be patient, keep learning and have fun
Like many things in life, you need to be a patient and consistent to have all this kicking in smoothly. Never forget to keep learning and to have fun in the process, and good luck.

Recommending Amazon Products on Squidoo

There are many ways to make money using Squidoo. A favorite way for many people is to recommend products for sale on Amazon which are related to your subject or niche. For example, if you have a lens built around Luke Skywalker from Star Wars, you can feature Skywalker action figures available for sale on Amazon. If you choose to use the Amazon modules on Squidoo, then you will most likely make 4.25% in commissions on your sale because Squidoo usually lands in the highest bracket for affiliate commissions on Amazon which is 8.5% on general products.
Many people like to use their own affiliate links for recommending available Amazon products, but once Squidoo axed the use of the Iframe, using your own affiliate links went the way of the dinosaurs. Squidutils.com then came along and added the ability to make your own links using their Amazon link building service. To use this service, you have to give up every 10th click on your affiliate link to Squidutils. It really isn't a bad deal, but some commissions from your lens can be lost this way.
You can now set up your own Amazon RSS feeds for Squidoo with a small amount of work on the front end. You will first need to set up a generic Storestacker website which is real simple. Then you need to add a category to your site for the type of product you would like to feature. Once this is done, generate an RSS feed from your category, copy and paste it into the RSS module on your Squidoo lens.
The feeds produced by Storestacker and not as pretty as those generated at Squidutils; there has to be a way to make them look better and you can be sure that I will be searching for the solution.

How to Be a Successful Amazon Associate

Are you a new internet marketer or an experienced affiliate marketer seeking new avenues to generate income? If you answered yes, then this article will help you learn how to be a successful Amazon Associate.
Is a Niche Important To Sell Amazon Products?
If you are thinking about selling Amazon.com products on your website or blog, is focusing on a niche important? If you have a niche specific blog or website, then it would make sense that any Amazon products you sell should be related to your niche. If you have a general website or blog, then you can sell products from multiple niches.
Best Method To Sell Amazon Products?
You can sell Amazon products as an internet marketer via a website, Blog, Squidoo, HubPages or even Facebook. Squidoo, HubPages and Facebook are good internet marketing methods, but may have limitations as to how you can market affiliate products on these sites. The best method for selling Amazon.com products that has the fewest limitations is to use a website or self-hosted blog. WordPress offers a free version of their software, but has some limitations not experienced in the self-hosted version. When you host a blog via hosting companies, such as Blue Host or HostGator, they provide WP for free.
How To Market Amazon Products
Some Amazon Associates place links for Amazon products on their website or blog, use AStore Pages or write product reviews with embedded product links. The most successful Amazon Associates write their own comprehensive product reviews of 1,000 -2,000 characters, rather than use the pre-written reviews available to Amazon affiliates. The pre-written reviews lack detail and do not allow for the writer to add personal experience with the product, or make the review unique.
Low Amazon Commissions
Many people who make money on the internet stay away from Amazon.com because of the perceived low commission fees. Some other internet affiliate networks offer 15% up to 90% commissions per sale, verses 4% to 8.5% available to Amazon Associates. The problem with this logic is while many other affiliate networks offer very attractive commissions, you have to work hard to make a living selling these products, which are usually only available online. The Amazon affiliate program is one of the best affiliate programs has built such a strong name and brand selling unknown and well known products. Amazon affiliate marketers generally do not have to work as hard to convert clicks to sales as other affiliate marketing programs, and thus begin making an income within a few weeks or months of selling Amazon products. In addition, as you sell more you move up from 4% to 6%, up to 8.5%. Some products offer 15% commissions.
Best Tool To Learn How to Write Effective Product Reviews
I have read countless articles by affiliate markers that explain how to set up Amazon Associate accounts, and how to add Amazon product links to websites and blogs, but none explain how to write effective product reviews that convert, or if the authors have actually made any money as an Amazon affiliate. The best e-book for making money online that I found, which shows you how to be a successful Amazon Associate is the Amazonian Profit Plan. This Amazon affiliate marketing-book, written by two women in Australia (Paula and Wanda) who make $10,000 to $15,000 per month in affiliate commissions, is the best affiliate marketing training program. The Amazonian Profit Plan takes you by the hand and shows you step-by-step how to select products to sell, what competition you can expect from other affiliates, how to write comprehensive product reviews, proper keyword selection for SEO, and methods to drive traffic to the product reviews. You can even use the product review techniques for non-Amazon affiliate products.
I saw results immediately after purchasing and implementing the concepts from the Amazonian Profit Plan. Within one week of writing product reviews, they were either #1 or on the first page of Google for one or more keywords, and within one more week I began converting the reviews to affiliate sales. You may or may experience the results I have achieved.

How to Create an Amazon Storefront

A simple guide of how to create an Amazon store front without knowing how to code around the Amazon Developers Kit. Everything referred to in this HowTo is completely free to download and setup.

Steps

  1. Sign up as an Amazon.com Associate by visiting Join Associates Page
  2. Download this free Amazon SDK wrapper from Associate-o-matic here.
  3. Unzip the files contained in the Associate-O-Matic ZIP file to your local hard drive.
  4. Open your FTP client software (or use the control panel provided by your web host) and upload the Associate-O-Matic files to your server (web host). First, upload (FTP) the encrypted PHP in BINARY mode: shop.php, admin.php, and aom.php. Then, upload all of the remaining files and let your FTP software decide the mode to use whether it be ASCII or BINARY.
  5. Set the permissions for provided files/directories. Normally this can be done by right-clicking on the file or directory from your FTP client. The permissions are as follows and can vary from web host to web host: shop.php [CHMOD 644] admin.php [CHMOD 644] aom.php [CHMOD 777] /aom directory [CHMOD 755] /aom/cache directory [CHMOD 755] all other permissions should be fine by default.
  6. Now that all of the files are on your server, it's time to open the Associate-O-Matic Control Panel. For example, in a web browser open the address replacing "yourdomain" with your domain name: http://www.yourdomain.com/admin.php
  7. Once you enter the Control Panel, you'll see a number of settings. At this point you'll want to make sure you enter your correct Amazon Associate ID and the other information for your site. Don't be overwhelmed by the number customizations you have at your disposal. You can actually save your setting at this point just to make sure everything works. Or go ahead and enter some more of your site details and then save. In the Control Panel Settings section of our online documentation, we describe in much more detail each of the various settings. You can login to your Control Panel at any time and update your settings.
  8. Lastly, view your store from within a web browser. For example: http://www.yoursite.com/shop.php

Tips

  • You may need to modify your permissions beyond the below recommended settings. You'll know because Associate-O-Matic will give you cues that you still need to write and/or read enable a particular folder such as /aom. For example if 775 doesn't work you may need to make it 777.
  • The first time you open the Control Panel, you'll be asked to enter your login username and password. Once set, you'll be asked for this login on all subsequent visits. If you ever decide to change your login, simply delete the file in the /aom directory called cfg.login.php. You'll then have a chance to reset the password. Though we know this is crude, we will build a better interface for updating your login in a future version.

Warnings

  • You must have your own website in order to build an Amazon.com store front.

How to Start an Online Store

If you want to keep things simple, you can just list items on your blog or website with prices and shipping costs, and have people pay you through PayPal (or by sending you a check or money order). You can also sell items through eBay, Craigslist, Amazon, and other venues. But if you have a lot of products, this can get cumbersome, and expensive. An online store can help "streamline" the process in a variety of ways (saving you time and money). This article will address how you can establish an e-store.

Steps

  1. Decide what you're going to sell. This may tremendously affect how you go about setting up your store. Here are the main points to consider:
    • Is it a physical product that needs to be shipped, or is it a digital product that can be sent through the Internet?
    • Are you going to have an inventory (more than one) of each product, or will they be one-of-a-kind (e.g. artwork, vintage items)?
    • Are you going to want to sell a wide variety of products, or do you plan to specialize, like selling just t-shirts or books?
    • Are you passionate about the product? Your passion for and genuine interest in a particular niche market or product will give you a competitive edge over other sellers - your focus will differentiate your store from others that are more general in their product coverage. By choosing a category that you are passionate about, you will have a greater chance of enjoying the journey of creating and managing an online store, which will require patience and the ability to overcome adversity. In a way, opening an online store around one of your hobbies or interests allows you to reallocate time productively that you would have spent on your hobby anyways.
  2. Test the waters by selling your items on a small scale. In the real world, it'd be wise to try selling your products through other, low-commitment avenues (consignment, flea markets, craft shows, etc.) before taking the plunge and starting an entire store. The same is true for selling online. Try selling your items individually on eBay, Craigslist, Half.com and the like. Here's what you'll want to look for:
    • Who is buying your product? Offer a discount coupon or free gift if they answer a brief survey. Find out where else they shop online.
    • How much are they willing to pay? Experiment with different prices.
    • How is customer satisfaction? This is a good time to test how well you can get your product to the customer. Are you using good packaging? Is the shipping method reliable? Are they happy with their product? Did you describe it well?
  3. Consider your options. If you've got a big budget, you can hire someone to set up a store for you from scratch. But for the rest of us, there are plenty of services that you can choose from. If your store isn't specialized, compare any general e-commerce service. There are also services geared towards certain kinds of products:
    • General e-commerce services will allow you to setup professional looking online storefronts when you ship your own inventory. Some general eCommerce sites include Flying Cart and Yahoo! Stores.
    • Hosted e-commerce solutions. Such services take care about different problems like storefront design, secure payment, hosting, mailing lists, selling statistics, cutomers support. It is the best choice (unlike CMS [1]) for those who don't like programming stuff. Some examples: Miscake Stores [2], Volusion [3], Shopify [4].
    • Affiliate store services such as Amazon eStores or Zilo. Zilo stores allow you to resell products carried by Buy.com and other merchants by writing reviews of products and focusing on a theme that makes consumers lives easier. Amazon eStores and Zilo stores allow you to get in the game fast, but do not allow you to carry your own physical inventory.
    • eBay - If you've already sold some stuff on eBay, and you're confident that most of your customer base will find you there, then you can "graduate" to an eBay store to save money on listing fees. Your customers will need to be web-savvy enough to feel comfortable using eBay. Note that eBay tends to attract people searching for bargains and one-of-a-kind items (and bargains on one-of-a-kind items).
    • Notemote - This is an oline marketplace where you can post one item or create an entire catalog for free. Just upload some photos, describe the item(s) and price it to sell. It's free to post goods for months without having to update the listing. When the item sells and is $35 or less, it's a 5% fee. If the item is $35 or more, the fee is 3%. On top of putting goods up for sale you can embed videos, blog about your products and services and connect to your twitter account directly from the site for free.
    • Cafepress - This is a service worth considering if you're selling mostly t-shirts, and other stuff you can "stamp" with your unique designs (mugs, stickers, buttons). Customers browse your store, order their stuff, and Cafepress processes the order and the items for you. You can start a basic shop for free, and pay a monthly subscription for more features.
    • Etsy - This is a popular choice for people who make what they sell. There's a 20 cent charge for every item listed, and Etsy keeps 3.5% of your sale price if the item is sold. You get paid directly and are responsible for shipping the item. You're charged fees (depending on what sold) on a monthly basis.[5]
  4. Promote your store. No matter how good your store is, it won't matter if no one knows it's there. It's not a "build it and they will come" kind of thing. Having an easy-to-use store is important, but not as important as marketing, having good products, and providing quality customer service.

A video detailing mistakes to avoid when starting an online business.

Tips

  • Use an analytics account such as Google Analytics to manage and keep track of traffic flows to your site. Once your online store is up and running, don't you want to see how much traffic you are generating and where it is coming from? Analytics are a powerful tool to slice and dice the source of visitors to your site, as well as the popularity of various portions of your site's content.

Warnings

  • Watch out for any service that involves selling products you don't have. These are often called "dropshipping" service and while some are legitimate, many are scams. Even those that are authentic have a low chance of success because you're selling stuff that someone else is probably already selling. You'll need extraordinary marketing skills to make it work in which case, why not apply it to your own products?

Publish An Amazon Product Using PLR

Many people think small when they're looking to reuse PLR products to make money. All they do is take the product as is, set it up on the web, and hope that sales will come in. Some people do much worse than that. They set themselves up as 'bucketpool resellers', simply listing product after product in the hope that one of these will bring them in a fortune. Now, this strategy can work, but it's hardly creative, different or geared towards success. In this article, I'm going to show you a modern twist on using PLR which can be much more profitable for you.
It's all about using the PLR as the basis for a physical product. That means that you're actually going to publish this as a paperback book which is available on Amazon. That's a great thing to do. It gives you guaranteed credibility in your niche by having your name attached to a real book which you can hold in your hand. And, it needn't be difficult to publish. Amazon provides a service called CreateSpace which will let almost anyone publish a book.
Simply take the PLR product, retitle it to make it totally unique, and then reformat it into the standard page layout required for a physical book. If you're not sure what that is, just open up any standard book on your bookshelf. You'll be amazed how much space is taken up with cover pages, notes and dedications, all before you get to any content. Then spread the content out neatly to fill at least 20 pages (40 would be ideal for a slim quick volume). You're ready to publish.
Amazon's CreateSpace service is good for publishing, as this is very low cost (you need pay only to have a proof copy of the book shipped to you) and you can go through the requirements in a matter of minutes. Upload the content file you've put together. You need to add a cover, which can be done using a simple wizard-like process that CreateSpace provide. Add some catchy text for the book description, choose a price you want to sell at, and you're ready to go.

How to Become an Amazon Associate

If you have a website or blog and want to monetize it, the Amazon Associates program is a good way to add affiliate money making opportunities. With this program, you can add links to any item on Amazon's site to your website and get commission when someone clicks the link or makes a purchase. While Amazon's commission structure is relatively low, the program offers many advantages and is very easy to use. You can create an aStore, which is an individual site showing the Amazon products that you choose to sell. You can let Amazon suggest products and include a link on your blog. You can also add individual products to your site for a customized look. While earning substantial income will take time, work and patience, it's worth checking out the program and learning how to become an Amazon Associate.

Make Money Promoting Amazon Products

Amazon is one of the most popular and regularly visited sites on the Internet they sell a wide range of products at very competitive prices furthermore they are extremely customer focused and reputable.
If your new to the world of on-line marketing then it would makes sense for you to consider the Amazon Associates Program over other sites such as Clickbank or Commission Junction. Reason being that these sites require you to have a little more experience and know how and also to be honest the amount of refunds you have to make with certain products is not worth your time and hassle alone. Reputation is also a factor to consider, are people more likely to buy from your Amazon link or widget or a hop-link from Clickbank or CJ?
The Amazon Associates Program pays up to anything from 4% - 8% in commissions dependent on the number of sales achieved but as in most cases people end up buying more than one item during a single visit through your affiliate link. High ticket items such as TVs, mp3 and games consoles are good examples of this.
Two simple but effective ways to promote products is given out below.
First method consists of direct linking, if you have your own website you can link it directly with Amazon, another effective method is using social media such as Twitter. You could recommend a video game or DVD by simply putting your Amazon link in your tweet, this way it's not blatantly obvious what your doing.
Another effective method involves the creation of a simple 1/2 page mini-site where you do a product review of a product your promoting and place links to it on your mini-site, this requires a little more experience but can be more profitable, bear in mind you would have to optimize your site to appear in search engine rankings and indulge in a little Google Pay Per Click, however if your budget is stretched i recommend writing and submitting a few articles about the product and include links back to your mini-site to drive potential customers to it.
In conclusion the Amazon Associate Program is a good way of building your first blocks in the world of affiliate marketing just don't expect to get rich overnight however with the right strategy and promotion you could build up a nice little income on the side which could pay the bills or pave the way for that holiday.

Selling Amazon Products - How to Make Sure That You Choose Your Niche Correctly

Before you start building your Amazon affiliate website you must begin your research with the product selection. This is because you have to select what products you are going to be selling for Amazon before you can proceed with keyword research and domain name selection.
To do this, you can go to a few different sites to look for the ideal products to promote. For example, you can try eBay Pulse. It is a good website to check what products people are looking to buy. However, please be informed that some of these products may not be ideal for this type of Amazon affiliate website and some of the products there may not even be available for sale on Amazon. Make sure after selecting a product to promote, you counter check them again at Amazon to see whether the product you chose is available for promotion.
There are several methods to find products to promote, but my personal preference is to find them on Amazon itself. This is because you are going to be building an affiliate website that promotes Amazon products. So this will save you a lot of time because you will never end up selecting a product that is unavailable on Amazon.
To pick a product from Amazon you just need to go to their main page and select a department. After that you will want to narrow down that department further until you find a specific type of product. The products that you may find can be your potential niche ideas. But in order to know that the products that you have selected is profitable, you need to do more research on it.
You can begin to make a list of some possible niche markets based on the products listed there.
When you are searching within a particular category on Amazon, you can sort your results by 'Bestselling', 'Customer Review' and even by price. If you desire to target higher priced products, you can use these features to find them.
If you are promoting products that have customer reviews, it will help to increase your sales a lot.
At least this is what I have experienced. Another good way to check as to whether or not a particular product is worth promoting is to go and checkout the Gift Central. The Gift Central shows you some of the most wished for items in various categories or for different kinds of people. This is also another powerful way to check about popular niche markets that you probably would not even thoughts of.

Affiliate Marketing - How To Profit With Amazon Products Review Sites

One of the benefits of becoming an Amazon affiliate is that you will have immediate access to thousands of physical products in more than 50 different popular markets. What this means is, you will have a lot of product choices to base your review site around.
There will be no shortage of products to promote at Amazon. But before you can select products to promote, you have to first sign up at affiliate-program.amazon.com. After signing up, then only you can begin to create an Amazon review site. This can be done by using the normal HTML review templates that you might already been using, or alternatively you can also use WordPress as the platform for your site.
One of the many advantages about Amazon is that, they tend to make it very easy for their affiliates to set up review pages, including creating an aStore. This is good news as it will make your job as an affiliate marketer much easier.
What aStores does is that it will feature several products from hand-picked categories, so you just need to customize your aStore to represent a specific niche markets. To be able to do this what you need to do is to log into your Amazon Associates account and create your store by selecting either specific products or complete categories.
Once this is done, you then need to embed a snippet of code into your blog or HTML page and your aStore will appear instantly. Yes, it is that easy!
You can also build a professional looking Amazon widgets very fast right from within your Amazon Associates account. These widgets are very good-looking and they are actually interactive small-applications that will bring Amazon's line of products right to your website.
There are many ways to make money with Amazon Associates Program and what I have mentioned above are only a small fraction of what you can do to take advantage of Amazon.com.

Insider Affiliate Marketing Strategies: Why Amazon Products Rock - Part 1

Are you a struggling affiliate marketer looking for that lucky break you keep hearing about that happens to some successful online marketers? Would you like to change your life with affiliate marketing? If so, this article may be just what you need. But there's a catch...
Affiliate Marketing Is A Skill
For most successful marketers, there was nothing "lucky" about their success. It didn't just fall into their lap one day, and it wasn't necessarily hard work and determination that produced it. It was method. It was skill. And it was strategy.
All of which, when used by anyone with half a brain, can be used to make money online for themselves and provide the "internet lifestyle" for themselves and their family.
Where Is Your Affiliate Marketing Success?
Reading over these next two articles, you'll discover this isn't your typical "write articles, do pay-per-click, and build a list of subscribers" (all of which aren't a bad way to start) suggestion. This is about using a strategy that not many people are using right now.
I'm not going to talk about making a fortune on Clickbank because what worked a few short years ago selling ebooks doesn't work as well now. The rules of the game of selling ebooks is much harder now. This is something a little different. This is an Internet Marketing Strategy, that if done right, can start putting money into your bank account quickly.
Why I Use Amazon For Affiliate Marketing Success
So before we start, let's talk shop about WHY I believe Amazon Affiliate marketing is the simplest way to make money online. Here are my Top Three Reasons:
1. Virtually NO pre-selling. There's far less skepticism involved in buying physical products than there is with digital. The reason why I believe this is so is because with digital products you never really know what you're buying until after you buy it.
Another reason is because it's tangible. Something you can touch, feel, see, and hear all at once. It stimulates four human senses seamlessly the way digital products cannot and never will.
2. There's ZERO saturation. You hear stories about how popular products are "oversold" to a limited group of people in a market (e.g. make money online buyers). Well, this is not a myth, it's true.
With Amazon products, you never have to think about too much competition because it does not and cannot exist, because of the nature of the business model. Thousands of products are added every year, so no one can own everything. And if a person is searching for it, THEY don't have one yet.
3. The products do most of the selling for you. That means you don't have to learn a lot of the skills and info you need to know to sell digital products, like writing salespage copy, building a list, or becoming "buddy buddy" with top marketers to do JV projects.
Keep an eye out for part 2 of this article, where I give you the skinny on what to promote, what NOT to promote, how to promote these products, and much more.

What Is Amazon Prime And Should You Sign Up?

Ever since I first bought something over at Amazon, I have come to prefer online shopping to the traditional way of buying stuff. It just seems so much hassle having to travel to a store and to check them physically. Online shopping on the other hand is built around the idea that convenience is the most important thing in the world.
That is why the people who prefer it over the usual way of shopping are those like me who are very busy and those with very little time to spare. The great thing about Amazon is that I can get almost anything on it and whatever it is that I need which I can not find on Amazon, the other online shopping sites, and auction sites can surely cover it. There is really no need to leave the comfort of the office or home to go shopping.
I have been using Amazon but it was just recently that I came across Amazon Prime. I was amazed that I had missed out on that. It seems just like the perfect offer for someone like me who uses their service often enough. If you do a lot of online shopping as well, then this is a service that you definitely should consider getting.
What is Amazon Prime? This is a program that you can sign up for that is membership based. In exchange you can get fast shipping that's unlimited, that includes 2 day shipping to any street address in the U.S. for free. Yes, you read that right, for free. Of course the membership comes with a price. There is an annual charge of about $79 for it, but for someone like me who shops online a lot that is very much worth it.
There are advantages for signing up for membership with Amazon Prime. Members within the U.S. can gain access to thousands of movies and T. V. shows that are absolutely commercial free through the Amazon Instant Video. That comes for free with the membership. There are no additional costs for it all.
If you own a Kindle then you can also choose from thousands of books with current titles included that you can read for free. Those are the advantages that you can get from the service and like what I have mentioned, the things that they offer are absolutely amazing for someone who uses their services often enough. I can save a lot of money by joining up with them.
Free Trial - If you are not as sure as I am that you are going to benefit from this then you can try it out for the free trial period. Cancelling membership is not a problem as well. You can just setup your account so that after the term that you have signed up for it your account is going to end and expire. You can choose to cancel the benefits right away or you can get the benefits until the trial comes to its end.

How To Make Money Online Tonight With Amazon Report An Honest Review

Here it is, an honest review of the "How To Make Money Online Tonight With Amazon Report". My friend Devon turned me on to this report about 3 weeks ago. He said that his girlfriend had come across it on a site called Pinterest. Anyway I went to the site and found a "report" on its first page. Now this was not written the way I am used to seeing similar products written in a flashy "get rich quick" type format, which for me is a huge turnoff. I found the style a little more "real" which intrigued me. After reading and looking at what I was sure were "doctored" pictures of sales and money earned (though the totals were a bit low..which I now believe were indeed real totals..based on my own personal results) there was of course a cost.
Now although $5.00 really isn't that much and I am sure I waste more than that on any given day between coffee and soda, I have been burned to many times. However there were a few comments at the end, as this appears to be a blog type site, that convinced me to give it a try. The truth is that the results were FAR beyond what I ever expected to see from something like this.
Once you purchase the "report" you are e-mailed a PDF file that is what I have found to be the standard for these types of products. So here are the Pros and Cons:
Pros:
Step by step easy instructions
Clickable links to what you need
Price
Ridiculously quick start ( I had the site up and was able to start making money in 2 hours! That included starting to promote the site by the way.)
Cons:
Lack of detailed instructions if you already know HTML. ( but at the same time it is really isn't that hard if you really know what you are doing in HTML, so not really a con. Plus it is expressed in the beginning that this report will not get into that.)
Very few templates
Now in my opinion the pros far outweigh the cons in this one. There is a "hidden" cost if you want to get up really fast though you don't have to and that is the cost of the template. It is an additional $5.00. I wanted to test this quickly so I opted for the template. The walkthrough directions using this method are quite thorough, and even someone with no computer or HTML experience could easily do this. Screen shots are provided and again this is written in very simple and plain language. The report does lack a "professional" look but the looks really didn't matter. At the end of the day this program is worth every penny. At the time I wrote this I had already made $125 in two weeks following exactly what the report says to do. This is the fastest I have ever made money online and I could not be more thrilled. Hopefully there will be more templates soon as I am excited to start another site and see if I achieve the same results. The site says that more are added daily and so far that has been true, though there are only 1 or 2 added each day. Now I am not saying everyone will get the same results as I did but the reality is that it can be done and the report delivered more than I expected. I will definitely be getting more products from this merchant.

Amazon or eBay - Who Gives the Seller the Best Deal?

Over recent years there has been a great deal of dissatisfaction expressed by eBay sellers. Forums and blogs are full of complaints about poor customer service and preferential treatment being given to "the big guys". As a result an increasing number of sellers have moved over to Amazon as an alternative but are they in fact any better off for making this move?

The first big question must be which offers the best value for money? Although Amazon unlike eBay does not charge a listing fee its commission rate on sales is that much higher. If you sell the majority of items you list eBay is still your best option but if you have a low sales to listings ratio Amazon will cost you less overall.

Some items are best suited to being sold by auction which is an option that Amazon does not offer. If you deal in antiques and collectibles you are likely to get better prices selling through an auction on eBay. However, eBay are slowly moving away from the auction model and now the majority of listings are Buy It Now which is similar to Amazons approach. Generally Amazon does appear to be able to sell at higher fixed prices than eBay. One reason for this may be that visitors to eBay are looking for bargains whilst those going to Amazon know they will find what they want to buy on the site and are prepared to pay the asking price.

For sellers on Amazon there is far less interaction with customers than on eBay, a point which some sellers consider a good thing. However, this does make it difficult to build up any rapport between buyer and seller. Another factor against eBay is that there seems to be a constant changing of rules and procedures which sellers can find restrictive and annoying.

When it comes to payments, Amazon offers no choice; sellers have to use their payment method. They take in the money and distribute it to you once every two weeks. The only deductions are for the sales commission. With eBay you currently have the option of accepting payment via credit card or PayPal. It has to be remembered that there is an additional percentage charge on all PayPal transactions.

There is no clear answer to which is best for a seller eBay or Amazon. It depends very much on the type of goods you are selling and your own personal preference. The obvious answer at the moment is to use both and see which is the most profitable for you.

Affiliate Marketing - 3 Tips to Promote Amazon Products Successfully

Amazon is a well-known, reliable affiliate network. Although the commission you could be earning from Amazon is relatively low but there are still many people who are making a lot of money from them. I always recommend all new affiliates to join Amazon.com to start their online business. Amazon deals with physical products which are easier to sell as compared to downloadable products. There is no requirement for you to pay any fee to become their affiliate, you can just join them for free and start choosing any product from the pool of available products to promote. There are more than ten thousand products currently available.

Thousands of affiliates have joined Amazon and are earning a full-time income on a regular basis. You too shouldn't hesitate in joining Amazon if you want your business to take have a good start.

Here are some tips you can do while working with Amazon.com.

Tips number 1 - Forums marketing

Search at least 3 forums that are related to your product with a high page ranking. After registering on these forums, you can start a discussion in the forum where many people are involved. You can post your questions there and at the same time answer some questions of other forum members. Please remember not to add any promotion text in the body of your posts. Forum members are allowed to put their signature at the end of their post. It is here is where you can put you name, your website link and your affiliate products link. Once you became an active member of this forum, you should be getting some traffic from these forums to your website. This will ultimately result in some sales of the products you are promoting.

Tips number 2 - Email Marketing.

Nowadays it is very common for anyone to use email to interact with others. Do you know that each time when you use your email to contact people, you can place your website or affiliate link promoting your products at the end of your email text. So if you send out 100 emails daily, it means 100 additional people are looking at your affiliate link everyday. You can also expand your contact list and use as many methods as you can to collect the email addresses of new subscriber. You have to get an autoresponder account to do this. Use online forums, chat forums etc to make new friends.Once you have a few hundred of subscribers, you need to improve your relationship with them so that when you send them promotional email, they will be glad to buy from you. Please remember NOT to spam. Don't send email to the people who don't know about you or who don't want to receive your emails. If you do this, your email will be blocked and you will lose your contacts.

Tips number 3 - Promote Your Products on a Website

Most affiliates of Amazon have their own website to promote their products. I personally highly recommend you to build your own website. It is good if you can make your website clean and simple. Add your affiliate links in every page of your website but please do not put big ugly banners to advertise the products. The best way is to use 2 to 3 lines of text links to promote the Amazon products. A point to always remember is that your website must be related to the products you are promoting. For example if you are promoting a Plasma TV, then your website contents must match this theme. If not your visitor will be put off and go away without reading any further.

Conclusion

Amazon is a very popular affiliate network for physical products. You should start your business with Amazon.com to become a successful affiliate. Try to use all the tips I have shown you to promote your Amazon products for better results. Remember, many affiliates are making a full-time income on Amazon.com and there is no reason that you cannot be like them.
