Selling Amazon Products - How to Make Sure That You Choose Your Niche Correctly


Before you start building your Amazon affiliate website you must begin your research with the product selection. This is because you have to select what products you are going to be selling for Amazon before you can proceed with keyword research and domain name selection.
To do this, you can go to a few different sites to look for the ideal products to promote. For example, you can try eBay Pulse. It is a good website to check what products people are looking to buy. However, please be informed that some of these products may not be ideal for this type of Amazon affiliate website and some of the products there may not even be available for sale on Amazon. Make sure after selecting a product to promote, you counter check them again at Amazon to see whether the product you chose is available for promotion.
There are several methods to find products to promote, but my personal preference is to find them on Amazon itself. This is because you are going to be building an affiliate website that promotes Amazon products. So this will save you a lot of time because you will never end up selecting a product that is unavailable on Amazon.
To pick a product from Amazon you just need to go to their main page and select a department. After that you will want to narrow down that department further until you find a specific type of product. The products that you may find can be your potential niche ideas. But in order to know that the products that you have selected is profitable, you need to do more research on it.
You can begin to make a list of some possible niche markets based on the products listed there.
When you are searching within a particular category on Amazon, you can sort your results by 'Bestselling', 'Customer Review' and even by price. If you desire to target higher priced products, you can use these features to find them.
If you are promoting products that have customer reviews, it will help to increase your sales a lot.
At least this is what I have experienced. Another good way to check as to whether or not a particular product is worth promoting is to go and checkout the Gift Central. The Gift Central shows you some of the most wished for items in various categories or for different kinds of people. This is also another powerful way to check about popular niche markets that you probably would not even thoughts of.
